The Review Course for the National Geology Licensing Exam ASBOG® covers the topics that are most strongly emphasized on the exam, including the general geologic topics – field investigations, structural geology, and map interpretation as well as hydrogeology, engineering geology, economic geology, geomorphology, stratigraphy/sedimentology/paleontology, mineralogy/petrology/geochemistry and ethics.
Although the Fundamentals of Geology (FG) and Practice of Geology (PG) exams have a different approach to their questions there is about an 70% overlap in the technical topics. Therefore, the REG REVIEW course addresses both the FG and PG portions of the exam together. However, where appropriate specific information pertaining to only one exam or the other will be noted.
